Skull Crafters cleans all skulls with Dermestid beetles to ensure a superior process that will protect all of the delicate bones, such as nasal passages, from being damaged, as compared to other methods. The bugs are able to get into tiny spaces to remove all of the meat. The skulls are then degreased and whitened.

Skull Crafters has a consistent turnaround time of 4-6 months, and our exclusive tagging system guarantees you are getting your own skulls back. No skull will be sent out to the customer without all of the grease removed first, regardless of time frame. Skull Crafters will take the time needed to provide the best quality of work and all finished skulls are museum quality.

Skull Crafters offers various options to complement the skull such as 3D solid wood plaques that can be used to hang on the wall or sit on a table, decorative metal hangers, or just simple hidden wall hangers. There are also different finishes that can be applied at any point after the skull has been cleaned, such as bronzing or camouflaging (extra charge for degreasing my apply.).

Please note that older skulls may be more difficult to whiten. There may be an additional charge for rotten or maggot filled specimens. Some teeth may become loose during the process.
